A Biker's Poem
I saw you,
hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But, you didn't see me,
put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you,
pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But, you didn't see me,
playing Santa at the local mall.
I saw you,
change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me,
attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.
I saw you,
roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by.
But, you didn't see me,
driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette
butt out the car window.
I saw you,
frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But, you didn't see me,
when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you,
stare at my long hair.
But, you didn't see me,
and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you,
roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But, you didn't see me,
and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.
I saw you,
look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me,
cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in
my heart.
I saw you,
change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me,
going home to be with my family.
I saw you,
complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me,
when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you,
yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me,
pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.
I saw you,
reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But, you didn't see me,
squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you,
race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn't see me,
get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you,
run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me,
trying to turn right.
I saw you,
cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But, you didn't see me,
leave the road.
I saw you,
waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me.
I wasn't there.
I saw you,
go home to your family.
But, you didn't see me.
Because, I died that day you cut me off.
I was just a biker,.....
A person with friends and a family.
But, you didn't see me.

Democratic Action Party (DAP)
Msia is a corrupted country, thats what all my relatives n family says. Although my nationality is malaysian, I was born in singapore and grew up here all my life. Dun really have a sense of belonging to both countries..but most of my relatives are there, and its still my home country. Here's to DAP for next election!~
Some facts that I leeched from the net:
Out of all the 5 major banks in Malaysia, only one bank is own by multi-racial, the rest are controlled by Malays.
99% of Petronas stations owned by Malays
3% of Petronas employees are Chinese.
100% Petronas projects contractors are Malays
95% intake for army, nurses & police are Malays
98% Government servants in Putrajaya are Malays
95% Government contracts are given to Malays
100% Government Vice Chancellors are Malays
100% students sent to Japan and Korea under the 'Look East Policy' are Malays
3 million Indonesian citizen became Malaysian citizen with Bumi status (special privileges such as exemption from tax and so on)
600,000 Chinese and Indians Malaysians with Red IC DENIED citizenship.
0% churches/temples built in housing estates. 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970 with full government support. No temples, no churches are built in housing estates that is supported by the government.
Up to 12% interest rate paid by Government for ASN/ASB (The unit trust scheme known as Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) is a scheme for mobilising Malay savings for equity investment. ASN is aimed mainly at improving the economic conditions of the Bumiputera, especially the Malays and therefore) - taken from ASN
96.5% Government budget for Malay schools
0% of non-Malay staff are legally required in Malay companies. But there must be 30% Malay staffs in Chinese companies.
80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to Malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is made difficult for Chinese rice millers.
While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, a Malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible.
Anger that most of the taxes paid by the non Malays are used to support the Muslim bumiputras and very little is left behind for others.Unlike in Australia, Canada & New Zealand where taxes are used to provide educational, social and health subsidies for all, irrespective of religion, race or creed.
In fact, some government officials say that if the Malaysian Chinese and Indians don’t like to be treated like this, they can get lost. That is why many of Non-Bumi are migrating.

Escape theme park outing..night festival
Marcus had ask me go for ktv at Kbox with his frens n clients. He is treating, but I din go cos I am shy. I wouldn't have known his frens except one or two..n I was worried he would flatter me abt singing well in front of a group of strangers.
Met up with Carrie n her cell group mates to watch the opening of the night festival just outside National Museum. Its quite nice althought there were LOTS of people and it was so hot. Supposed to meet up with Vera as she wanted to go for drinks, but before we met up, she dozed off. My calls and msgs were unanswered. Its kinda a blessing in disguise bcos all I wanted to was go home n rest after standing for more than two hrs with no breeze.
Sat- looked after baby at hme when mum n sis went out to see the 5 tigers concert. i cancelled off meeting Carrie n Kennedy for prata, but surprisingly my bro n his wife arrived earlier than I thought.
We went out to fetch mum n sis after the concert, then head to night festival again cos they were interested to watch the performace. So I had watched it twice, but no prob, I stil like it. Some pics of the festival below, my own hp pics were quite lousy.
The dancers floating in the were really graceful.........

This is one of my favourite, the music was romantic n I like the prop. (piano)

This water performance is fantastic!

Fire dancers...the last performance...

Ramblings
Been getting cranky from the whole of last wk till now, due to some impending matter thats looming on my mind. In tears now n then when thoughts overwhelmed me. Craziness.
Threw a tantrum at Jeff when we met up, burst into tears when he repeatedly ask me if I am ok. He was horrified. It would have been funny if I were in the mood to laugh.
Went to the beach with Jimmy. Shed tears when he ask me why am I so quiet. Other than that, I was lost in my own world watching the bright lights from the other side of the sea beckoning to us...Watching the planes twinkling as they cut through the sky, the artificial stars of the night. Listened to the soft rustling of the sea waves washing up the shore. Startled occasionally by the sharp sound of the ship horn blaring defiantly in the distance..It's at times like this that I retreated to a world of my own. But appreciated that Jimmy sacrificed his sleep for me, thanks.
Met with Eric, he entertained me with his jokes and stories. Good company. Sorry that you din get to sleep for 24hrs. Study hard.
Watch the movie "10 promises to my dog" with mum. I don't really think it's that nice. It might be that I was drenched in the rain and shivering in the cinema. All I could think of was when the movie will be ending.
Met up with Caleb. It's been a year since I last saw him. He is still the same person as he ever was. I like his company very much. Looking forward to his present.
Just had a thought. If there is ever a person I liked, one of the most enjoyable things I can think of is sitting together in companionable silence. Like, him playing video games and me reading a book. The presence of each other would suffice. That, to me is contentment. Wondering if it is too much to ask? Or too little?
Tomorrow is my birthday. I dun have any feeling yet, except profound sadness.

The Story of Kisagotami

Currently reading this book titled "After The Darkest Hour". Just wan to share one of the parables inside. Below version is what I found online. There are alot of similar versions around, but ultimately it delivers the same message.
Kisagotami was the oldest daughter of the poorest man in the village. She was a frail, delicate girl, often ill, not fit for the long, hard hours of work that kept her sisters busy. The neighbours were certain that she would never find a husband. But the beauty of her long, dark hair and deep, shining eyes won the heart of a stranger and Kisagotami left the village to join the family of her new husband. They treated her harshly because she was poor and tired easily under her burden of work, but all that changed when Kisagotami gave birth to the first son in her new family. Kisagotami delighted in her child. He was the joy of her life. Motherhood, too, brought respect and car from her relatives. Kisagotami had never known such happiness.
The boy grew strong and graceful. Then one day, at play in the forest, a snake bit him on the ankle. Within hours, Kisagotami and all her household were plunged into mourning. Her dearest was dead. Kisagotami was distraught with grief. She would not eat or sleep. She wandered, like a wild thing, round the houses of the villagers, cradling the body and pleading at every door for medicine to make her child well again. Her cries frightened the village. ‘Whoever heard of medicine for the dead?’ they muttered.
Kisagotami’s grief moved the heart of one person in the village. He was an old man, a follower of Gautama, the Buddha. Gently, he advised that Gautama was teaching in the next village. He might be able to give her medicine for her dead child.
That evening, Kisagotami started on her journey. All night she walked, carrying the child. She arrived at midday to find a large crowd gathering round Gautama. She pushed her way through and laid her child on the ground before him. A deep silence fell on the crowd.
‘Exalted One,’ she pleaded. ‘Give me medicine for my child.’ Gautama gently gathered Kisagotami in his arms. ‘Go to the city,’ he told her. ‘Visit every house. Bring me back a grain of mustard seed from every house that death has not visited. I shall wait for your return.’
Delight filled Kisagotami. At last, someone was listening. Here was one who would help. Through the city, she wandered, knocking on every door, pleading for a grain of mustard seed if death had not entered there. She found herself listening to countless stories of sadness, the death of wives and husbands, of parents and children, of old age and sickness. In every house the story was different but the grief was the same, like Kisagotami’s own grief. So Kisagotami learned compassion.
At length, she returned to seek Gautama. She found him waiting. She opened her empty hands. Neither spoke. Together they lifted the body of the child and carried him to the cremation grounds.

A thread posting
I feel for her, I really do. I posted a reply for her, though not sure if she is able to see. But in any case, I done my part. Below is what I wrote. I din include all the points she bought up cos then it be awfully long, but I am still hoping it will help her if just abit.
Dear xtin77,
I hope its not too late for me to reply to this thread. Hope u are feeling better now. Just to say I understand and empathise with you.
I have read up on depression as well as suicides linked to depression before. Those who have not suffered from depression will not understand what you are talking abt. Its when you have a cloud of gloom hanging over you ALL the time, you can't seem to cheer up, or even if you do, its fleeting and u sooner lapse back to that dreary world.
Those suffering from severe depression..you can tell them there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but its not that they don't want to listen, they want a light at the end of the tunnel as well. They'll look and look as far as they can, BUT all they can see in front of them is darkness, without even a shred of light.
Depression is an illness, and its not as easy as, say someone asking you just to snap out of it. And the main reason for people commiting suicide, its like a weighing scale. If your pain EXCEEDS your threshold of pain or coping capacity, that's when you want to end it all just to get away from the pain.
And the pain? It might be a shard of glass that pierces your heart so deeply that it stays embedded, and you can't get it out no matter how hard you try. Or an cruel invisible hand that clutches your heart so tightly, you can't breath, you can't sleep. It chokes you up, and you are left fighting for your breath. Or just that sharp throbbing pain that wakes you up, even in your dreams. No matter what you do, its ALWAYS there.
I might not have been in the exact same situation as you do, but I do know that from one person's viewpoint of any event that he/she might deemed as stupid/silly, to another person that may be worthy of him/her to stake their life on. Different people see and handle things differently. If you are a person that makes your decisions based on your feelings, then another person who makes their decisions based on logic and facts will not be able to understand where you are coming from.
If you are still hoping for that guy to come back to you and that he is so special to you that no other guy will do, I have a suggestion. Things might not likely change in the present, but there is no saying what will happen in the future. As long as you are alive, there is still hope. Why not you give yourself a time period of a year or so, THEN reevaluate what you feel for him.
You might find that time heals all wounds, but some just take an extremely long time that's all. That guy might realize he loves you after all, or another guy might just entered into your life that you loved as deeply. As long as you are alive, there is a future, and who knows what the future might bring? Take care.

Procrastinator's Creed...something light..
I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.
I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.
I shall never move quickly, except to avoid more work or find excuses.
I will never rush into a job without a lifetime of consideration.
My efforts to meet all of my deadlines will vary in direct proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to sustain from missing them.
I firmly believe that tomorrow holds the possibility for new technologies, astounding discoveries, and a reprieve from my obligations.
I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesimally small, is not exactly zero.
If at first I don't succeed, there is always next year.
I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.
I shall always begin, start, initiate, take the first step, and/or write the first word, when I get around to it.
I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.
I know that the work cycle is not plan/start/finish, but is wait/plan/plan.
I will never put off until tomorrow, what I can forget about forever.
I will become a member of the ancient Order of Two-Headed Turtles (the Procrastinator's Society) if they ever get it organized.

A beginning and an End
Reached the pinnacle of happiness, swam in the pool of darkness
Friends who have stayed, I thank you.
Friends who have left, I wish you well.
A death, a birth, loved and lost, a marriage.
So many more, hard to express, harder that it be understood.
So much tears, weary of it all.
Ghosts of the past, when will you stop lingering on and let me go?
Let. Me. Go.

China teacher sacked for running from quake school
He fled a classroom before his students during last month's devastating earthquake. -Reuters
Tue, Jun 17, 2008
Reuters
BEIJING - A CHINESE high school teacher has been sacked and denounced by local media and Internet users for fleeing a classroom before his students during last month's devastating earthquake.
Mr Fan Meizhong, a Chinese-language teacher at a private high school in quake-ravaged Dujiangyan in southwest Sichuan province, has been branded 'running Fan' on Internet chat-rooms and come under fire for defending his actions online in a lengthy post.
The 8.0 magnitude earthquake on May 12 killed more than 70,000 people, including thousands of children at their desks in what many parents believe were shoddily made school buildings.
'At such a life-or-death moment, I would only consider sacrificing my life for my daughter. I would not do it for anyone else, even my mother,' Mr Fan wrote on popular online portal Tianya.cn (http: www.tianya.cn).
'In a flash I felt it - a big earthquake! Then I charged to the building's stairs,' he said, adding that he was the first person to emerge from the school on to the soccer pitch.
None of the children in his literature class died in the quake.
China's education ministry confirmed that Mr Fan had been dismissed, but said it was the school's decision and denied media reports that it had issued a special order demanding it.
Mr Fan said he had not ruled out suing the authorities over the decision.
His account has enraged China, as it struggles to rebuild damaged cities and provide housing for millions of victims displaced by the quake.
'I know many teachers died protecting children during the earthquake... In this long essay, I can't see any 'person' here, I just see a big 'me',' a post in response to Mr Fan's account said.
Despite a massive outpouring of charity in the wake of the quake, Chinese bloggers have been quick to round on those deemed unsympathetic.
Movie actress Sharon Stone drew scathing criticism late last month after suggesting that 'karma' might have played a part in causing the earthquake after China's crackdown on unrest in ethnic Tibetan areas in March.

You like to be independent, to play by your own rules. You're not terribly interested in finding a partner and settling down, and it makes you nervous to imagine that someone might depend on you for anything. The sun question was eliminated. Thanks to those of you who emailed me detailed explanations of why the question was unfair, you convinced me. And remember- never stare into the sun, or use vague language. I've replaced it with the brain question (thanks to the taker who suggested that). Due to numerous requests, here are the answers:
1 No- Bacteria freezes too, and is just as alive when it is thawed. The only way to kill bacteria in food is to cook it completely.
2. No-The Coriolis force (caused by the Earth's rotation) may affect large swirls, such as hurricanes and whirlpools, but not something as small as a bathroom drain.
3. No-Despite rumors, saltpeter (KNO3) is a diuretic, which means that it makes the body get rid of water. The other saltpeter, (NaNO3; calcium nitrate), is used in gunpowder.
4. Yes- if your intention is to get drunk. Alcohol is alcohol, regardless of what other flavors accompany it.
5. No- think about it. If you're close enough to a bird to put salt on its tail, why not just grab it?
6. No- We use all of our brain (at least most people). There is no scientific proof that we use only 10%.
7. Yes- Dermatophagoides farinae live off dead skin cells, and can be a problem if you're allergic. Wash that bedding in hot water at least weekly to avert these nasty creatures.
8. No- its the shrinkage of the skin that makes skin and hair "appear" to grow slightly after demise.
9. No-it all goes to the same place anyway. Religious teachings may prohibit mixing certain foods, but there is no current scientific basis for doing so.
10. Yes-it's just that their prey (rodents) are night creatures, so owls have to work the night shift.

Updates of the week
Had a good time chatting and eating coco crunch with milk. Things worsen the next day cos due to some reasons, she abandoned me in the living room with her parents. I was stuck there cos don't tink it was polite to go back to the room when her dad was singing. I need to at least show some appreciation for his singing cos I am kinda his audience.
Then we supposed to meet Jesslyn in town but she refused to get out of bed, ignored me and went to sleep. Tat irks me so much, I had to try very hard to control myself not to kick her bed or shake her by her shoulders. Or just kick her awake. Who says I have no temper? I just try hard to control everytime by taking a deep breath n counting down. In the end went out without her. Met with Jesslyn, she doesn't smile much. I tink most of my frens dun realli smile much. This is a screwed up year. Fark it. Kathy apologized to me after tat. But I have to start to be selfish. I cun afford to go out with people who will drag me down when I am in the midst of trying to rebuild my life. Not just about her but in general. I cun give when I have nothing to give. Let me be strong enough first.
Back home saw that another certain someone had viewed my profile on some websites. Very pissed off with him too. After all the pining I did? Fark off.
All in all, its a Jasmine-is-super-duper-pissed-off-day.
Mon- Went to see Wanted with Junwei at Causeway Point. I like the show, its damn cool. Abit long, but still, Cool. Jeff came my hse after tat to discuss some business matters. Supposed to do a delivery for him tomlo. Eric workin one day tomlo at a company tat so sui, tat certain someone also working there. Turns out Eric been working there part time on and off for the past few yrs. Hope they dunno each other.
Tues- The delivery sucks, not enough info and too many questions. Have to meet up with Jeff again when he gets everything ready. Eric msg me in the morning telling the surname of tat idiot. So sui. They met in the lift somemore. So bloody sui. Was feeling down all day. Met with Junwei for supper. He cheered me up some. He going Korea tomlo, hope he enjoy his trip though he dun seem tat enthuastic. Ask him to help me get some stuff frm Korea, including an amethyst cross. I want it to be in a pair so I can give one to my SO next time as a love token.
Wed- Spend whole day doing research for Jeff's business. Eric chio to go ktv, quite excited. Then later in the nite he sprained his leg.
Thur- Din manage to go ktv in the end, wat a pity. Did up my resume(finally) and proceed to jobsites to it out. Not sure abt wat I shd apply but syl suggested cosmetic and jewellry retail sales. No harm trying. I wan to look for a temp job first. Met for dinner with Carrie at Causeway point. Ate Sakae Sushi cos suddenly had a craving for it. Walked ard drinking bubble tea. Went past face shop and remembered I just applied for a job from Skinfood. There was a question which was a prerequisite before u can send in ur resume. It goes something like below.
Skinfood: pls list our ur beauty industry experience and y u wan to apply for the job.
Me: I dun have any beauty experience, but I like skinfood.
Guess I wun be granted this interview after all. Haha.
Fri: Went for an interview at a jewellry boutique in Forum. (temp position) The lady likes me. She ask me y do I want to apply for this line. I told her the absolute truth, cos my friends told me to. Erm. Then she ask abt my strengths n weakness. I gave her wat I thought were my strengths, then told her I not sure abt my weakness, and that I cun tink of any. Oops. Tink I need to brush up on my interview skills, but I have always been rather direct in interviews. For one thing, people remember u more when u dun give standard answers. Will reconsider, cos for one thing the retail hrs are long. But another thing, I really need money. Damn.
Two babies at my hse today. So cute. I sang lullabies to each of them in turn, complete with awkward hand gestures. But I only do it when they are wailing cos it helps to distract them. Ended up singing the same few lullabies over and over again.
Babies crying.
Me: Mary had a little lamb, little lamb.. Gaze riveted on me.
End of song. They start to cry.
Me: MARY had a Little lamb, little lamb...They quitened down, staring at me.
End of song. They start crying again.
Me: MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB, LITTLE LAMB...
I look like a total idiot. But on the other hand, they dun mind the limited repertoire.

HOW COULD YOU? A shelter puppy's story...Copyright Jim Willis 2001
My housebreaking took a little longer than expected, because you were terribly busy, but we worked on that together. I remember those nights of nuzzling you in bed and listening to your confidences and secret dreams, and I believed that life could not be any more perfect. We went for long walks and runs in the park, car rides, stops for ice cream (I only got the cone because "ice cream is bad for dogs," you said), and I took long naps in the sun waiting for you to come home at the end of the day.
Gradually, you began spending more time at work and on your career, and more time searching for a human mate. I waited for you patiently, comforted you through heartbreaks and disappointments, never chided you about bad decisions, and romped with glee at your homecomings, and when you fell in love.
She, now your wife, is not a "dog person" - still I welcomed her into our home, tried to show her affection, and obeyed her. I was happy because you were happy. Then the human babies came along and I shared your excitement. I was fascinated by their pinkness, how they smelled, and I wanted to mother them, too. Only she and you worried thatI might hurt them, and I spent most of my time banished to another room, or to a dog crate. Oh, how I wanted to love them, but I became a "prisoner of love."
As they began to grow, I became their friend. They clung to my fur and pulled themselves up on wobbly legs, poked fingers in my eyes, investigated my ears, and gave me kisses on my nose. I loved everything about them and their touch - because your touch was now so infrequent - and I would have defended them with my life if need be.
I would sneak into their beds and listen to their worries and secret dreams, and together we waited for the sound of your car in the driveway. There had been a time, when others asked you if you had a dog, that you produced a photo of me from your wallet and told them stories about me. These past few years, you just answered "yes" and changed the subject. I had gone from being "your dog" to "just a dog,"and you resented every expenditure on my behalf.
Now, you have a new career opportunity in another city, and you and they will be moving to an apartment that does not allow pets. You've made the right decision for your "family," but there was a time whenI was your only family.
I was excited about the car ride until we arrived at the animal shelter. It smelled of dogs and cats, of fear, of hopelessness. You filled out the paperwork and said "I know you will find a good home for her." They shrugged and gave you a pained look. They understand the realities facing a middle-aged dog, even one with "papers." You had to pry your son's fingers loose from my collar as he screamed "No, Daddy! Please don't let them take my dog!" And I worried for him, and what lessons you had just taught him about friendship and loyalty, about loveand responsibility, and about respect for all life. You gave me a goodbye pat on the head, avoided my eyes, and politely refused to takemy collar and leash with you. You had a deadline to meet and now I haveone, too.
After you left, the two nice ladies said you probably knew about your upcoming move months ago and made no attempt to find me another good home. They shook their heads and asked "How could you?"
They are as attentive to us here in the shelter as their busy schedules allow. They feed us, of course, but I lost my appetite daysago. At first, whenever anyone passed my pen, I rushed to the front, hoping it was you - that you had changed your mind - that this was alla bad dream...or I hoped it would at least be someone who cared, anyone who might save me. When I realized I could not compete with the frolicking for attention of happy puppies, oblivious to their own fate,I retreated to a far corner and waited.
I heard her footsteps as she came for me at the end of the day, and I padded along the aisle after her to a separate room. A blissfully quiet room. She placed me on the table and rubbed my ears, and told me not to worry. My heart pounded in anticipation of what was to come, but there was also a sense of relief. The prisoner of love had run out of days. As is my nature, I was more concerned about her. The burden whichshe bears weighs heavily on her, and I know that, the same way I knew your every mood.
She gently placed a tourniquet around my foreleg as a tear ran down her cheek. I licked her hand in the same way I used to comfort youso many years ago. She expertly slid the hypodermic needle into my vein. As I felt the sting and the cool liquid coursing through my body, I lay down sleepily, looked into her kind eyes and murmured "How could you?"
Perhaps because she understood my dogspeak, she said "I'm so sorry." She hugged me, and hurriedly explained it was her job to makesure I went to a better place, where I wouldn't be ignored or abused or abandoned, or have to fend for myself - a place of love and light sovery different from this earthly place. And with my last bit of energy, Itried to convey to her with a thump of my tail that my "How could you?" was not directed at her. It was you, My Beloved Master, I was thinking of. I will think of you and wait for you forever. May everyone in your life continue to show you so much loyalty.
The End
A note from the author:
If "How Could You?" brought tears to your eyes as you read it, as it did to mine as I wrote it, it is because it is the composite story of the millions of formerly owned pets who die each year in America's shelters. Anyone is welcome to distribute the essay for a non-commercial purpose, as long as it is properly attributed with the copyright notice. Please use it to help educate, on your websites, in newsletters, on animal shelter and vet office bulletin boards. I appreciate receiving copies of newsletters which reprint "How Could You?" or "The Animals' Savior," sent to me at the last postal address below. Tell the public that the decision to add a pet to the family is an important one for life, that animals deserve our love and sensible care, that finding another appropriate home for your animal is your responsibility and any local humane society or animal welfare league can offer you good advice, and that all life is precious. Please do your part to stop the killing, and encourage all spay & neuter campaigns in order to prevent unwanted animals.

Thailand trip (19th-23th june)
Some interesting, not so interesting, or farked up experiences:
1. Thai massage - shiok meh? I screamed, groaned, laughed hysterically almost all the way throughout the one hour massage. Whereas the rest of them are in bliss, and one of my cousins even fell asleep during the massage. Turns out during the one hour torture, people at the entrance all could hear me. Cool.
2. Taxis - Some of them don't charge by meter. Or they bring you to a seafood restaurant which is obviously a collaboration between them and the restaurant for more business.
Us: Chinatown pls.
Driver: Chinatown raining, got flood. U going dinner?
Us: Ya.
Driver: How abt seafood?
Us: No, dun wan.
Driver: Seafood nice.
5 secs later, we are at the seafood restarant. So convenient huh. Took us a few min to persuade them to drive us out.
And one of the taxis we were in, the driver used one hand for the steering wheel and the other to hold his handphone to his ear while he was jabbering leisurely in thai. That we can still accept, although our gaze was riveted worriedly on his steering wheel. Then he took his hand off the steering wheel too, apparently to search for something on his seat. That's when all of us had a silent heart attack.
3. Tuk-Tuks - Tempted by the ten baht offer made by them to drive us to our destination. We got into 3 Tuk Tuks and everything was fine for a few min until they drove to an alleyway n stopped, persuading us to go to another place to check out jewellry first. We refused n they continued badgaring us. When we din't give in, they abandoned us at the alleyway, ask us to get out. So we had to walk to the main road to get taxis. No such thing as an almost free lunch.
On the other hand, we sucessfully reached our destination the next time when we offered 100 baht instead. An exhilarating experience. They are hell riders. They drive faster than the taxis and weave dangerously in and out of traffic, no shit.
4. Had a screamfest at the hotel living room watching "snakes on a plane" on HBO. Since we were living in the presidential suite, I could shriek in peace cos the rooms on the left n rite of the wall belong to us. Had fun clutching a pillow and shivering in excitement. It's kinda a stupid show, but nonetheless entertaining still. And its tame enough for me that I won't have nightmares.
5. Not sure if its just me, but I am rather fascinated by clouds. They are awfully pretty. On my way to bangkok, went through some really fantastic views of them. By turns, they can look like mountains of white cotton candy densely packed together. Or the south pole, with the sky as the sea. Or swirling white mists as far as ur eye can see. They look like the place where angels live and thread upon. Wish I could have seen them. Too bad I din have a camera at that time. Took some pics of the clouds when I was on the return flight, but they are way less amazing ones.
6. Had a interesting albeit low morale chat with my aunt n cousins. The general consensual was that love will never last in a marriage. It fades away with the passing of time no matter how once, both of u loved each other deeply. Advised me to go for financial security. Gives me the chills.
7. Lost my new red shoes. Realised at the last day of packing that it was not anywhere in hotel room. Basket. Maybe someone threw it away since I put it in a plastic bag..sad. But luckily I have another exact same pair, same colour too. I have this weird habit of buying designs I like in diff colours, or same colour even. So yep, whoever throws away my shoes, I will try to forgive u.
8. Hate touters. I mayb all laid back but there are some things I cannot stand, and one of these is exploitation. This is one of the few topics that u will be surprised to see me agitated abt. Like the old grandma at the orchard underground tunnel that sells one pack of tissue for $2. Most people I know will just give because she is old, but y? Then she might just don't sell tissues.
Selling tissues is an honest living. And I admire visually/physically challenged people who try their best to make an honest living. (etc $1 for 3packs of tissue) But not those who capitalize on the situation. I'll give u $2, but I really dun need the pack of tissue.

dinner, one good deed, n kbox (a total regret)
Keri went back after the dinner, so we proceeded to Macafe at Shaw Centre for a drink. recommmeded kathy himalayan tea n she likes it. spend some time talking to marcus abt happiness. less expectations = more contentment.
Last stop of the day was amk kbox with carrie n her frens. onli just parted ways with kathy n marcus when an old uncle accosted me. turns out he went for some drink gathering with his frens n got lost by himself. coincidentally, his hme was in amk, so i accompanied him to the train station n on the train journey. wanted to walk him back to his house cos he said it is nearby but he declined n just keep thanking me profusely. told me if there is fate we will meet again. got me thinking, is there ever such a thing as a coincidence or an accident? i dun tink so. glad i did a good deed. btw, he is alry 77 years old, wow.
was tinking kbox might not cost much n can share the cab back with carrie. but in the end got a huge shock cos it was so ex, i am never gonna go kbox on a fri nite again. feeling the pinch very much.
trying to stay at home but its so lonely with no one around. Jeff ask me out for drinks tonite..but i realli have to control..i also wanna go out with Vera sigh...
just now chatted with my little cousin Nicole on msn, she is ten years old. miss her n her siblings! although they can be very noisy at times..haha.

took some pics of myself with teeth, cos mum is starting to complain tat i always never show my teeth in pics...so ya here comes some strange teethy smiles.....
Wed- Went with mum to plaza sing to watch kungfu panda. shucks, were late n missed the first ten mins of the show. But luckily still can catch on*phew*. the show is quite funny n cute. had dinner with sis at orchard and a delightful shopping spree at O2skin(lipglosses n eyeshadows at $2.90 each!)
Thurs- Met up with Eric to go walk walk in town. headed to plaza sing to buy a pair of comfy heels i was eyeing the day bfore, then on the central mall for a few hrs.
He bought a tee, while i bought two earrings, one halterneck dress, a cutsy bubble spag top with a bow, and a classy butterfly top. it was all pretty good cheap bargains except for the butterfly top, but Eric say it look nice so i bought it lo.
Jeff came to meet us for drinks half way n we chatted at starbucks before he went back home for dinner. Eric n i then proceeded to sit at the riverbank to enjoy the scenic view bfore finally heading home. in all, an enjoyable day. Eric is quite a good shopping partner. :)
