Democratic Action Party (DAP)

Went out for supper the other nite with my jb cousin Adrian, bro n sis-in-law at mac. My bro has joined the DAP branch in JB which will be set up soon. I am proud of him cos he joins in the hopes of lessening corruption under the current government.

Msia is a corrupted country, thats what all my relatives n family says. Although my nationality is malaysian, I was born in singapore and grew up here all my life. Dun really have a sense of belonging to both countries..but most of my relatives are there, and its still my home country. Here's to DAP for next election!~

Some facts that I leeched from the net:

Out of all the 5 major banks in Malaysia, only one bank is own by multi-racial, the rest are controlled by Malays.
99% of Petronas stations owned by Malays
3% of Petronas employees are Chinese.
100% Petronas projects contractors are Malays
95% intake for army, nurses & police are Malays
98% Government servants in Putrajaya are Malays
95% Government contracts are given to Malays
100% Government Vice Chancellors are Malays
100% students sent to Japan and Korea under the 'Look East Policy' are Malays
3 million Indonesian citizen became Malaysian citizen with Bumi status (special privileges such as exemption from tax and so on)
600,000 Chinese and Indians Malaysians with Red IC DENIED citizenship.
0% churches/temples built in housing estates. 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970 with full government support. No temples, no churches are built in housing estates that is supported by the government.
Up to 12% interest rate paid by Government for ASN/ASB (The unit trust scheme known as Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) is a scheme for mobilising Malay savings for equity investment. ASN is aimed mainly at improving the economic conditions of the Bumiputera, especially the Malays and therefore) - taken from ASN
96.5% Government budget for Malay schools
0% of non-Malay staff are legally required in Malay companies. But there must be 30% Malay staffs in Chinese companies.
80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to Malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is made difficult for Chinese rice millers.
While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, a Malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible.

Anger that most of the taxes paid by the non Malays are used to support the Muslim bumiputras and very little is left behind for others.Unlike in Australia, Canada & New Zealand where taxes are used to provide educational, social and health subsidies for all, irrespective of religion, race or creed.

In fact, some government officials say that if the Malaysian Chinese and Indians don’t like to be treated like this, they can get lost. That is why many of Non-Bumi are migrating.
